Employment Opportunities

To maintain Tri Delta Transit vehicles in an efficient, timely and safe manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ASE Transit, Truck or School Bus Certifications preferred.
Experience
A minimum of one year of recent and verifiable experience as an automotive mechanic or a heavy-duty mechanic. Experience working with zero-emission buses is preferred.
Pre-Employment Testing
Final candidates will be required to pass a Federal Transit Administration pre-employment drug screen and Department of Transportation physical.
Tools
Possession of necessary tools to perform above duties, including approved safety toed shoes to be worn on the job.
License
Must have or be able obtain a Class B license with a “P’ endorsement. On-the-job DMV training will be provided. Applicants will not be considered if they have more than two moving violations and/or accidents on their driving record within the past three years.

Job Description
Transdev contracts with Tri Delta Transit to hire, train, and employ bus operators. Transdev’s training program consists of classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
General Information
- Starting rate for drivers is $24.52 to $35.60 per hour after training DOE (depending on experience) at 5 years

Road Supervisor/Dispatcher – $25.52 – $36.60/hour DOE plus an attractive benefits package

Responsibilities:
- Manage drivers’ scheduling & route staffing
- Evaluate and monitor driver safety and performance in compliance with legal, employment, and labor policy matters
- Conduct on-the-scene accident investigations; assist drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports, and safety violations documents
- Organize and host driver training and safety courses; train new drivers and retrain drivers involved in accidents
- Observe drivers on the road – correct safety problems on the scene while documenting violations
- Liaison between drivers and the customers and organization in customer service concerns
- Assist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance – drug testing and recordkeeping
- Drive routes periodically
- Manage and oversee daily road service
- Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns
- Manage emergencies for Operators
