Tri Delta Transit Temporary Service Reduction Due to COVID-19, Effective April 19, 2020

Antioch, CA, April 14, 2020 -Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the mandated shelter-in-place order, Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority (Tri Delta Transit) will implement a 30% reduction in service effective 04/19/2020. “This service reduction will allow us to balance our role as the lifeline transportation service provider for our community with the need to keep our riders and employees safe during this global pandemic. Instead of cutting routes, we are reducing he frequency of our regular schedule with most routes operating every hour.

Many essential service employees including nurses, service workers, doctors, first responders and even our own employees rely on Tri Delta Transit to get to work. We are grateful for their commitment to keep our community safe and functioning and are doing everything we can to support them. By continuing to operate 70% of our service, Tri Delta Transit will effectively offer reliable service, ensure social distancing, and allow the community to use transit for essential services and functions.” stated Jeanne Krieg CEO.
