Tri Delta Transit is excited to announce we’re joining County Connection and WestCAT on the Youth Ride Free Pilot Program for Contra Costa County. Tri Delta Transit is offering fare-free rides on all fixed and express routes for young people up to 18 years of age from June 1 through July 31, 2025.  Tri MyRide and Paratransit services are not included. Riders must pay the fare when riding these services.

Young riders just need to hop on! No application, special card, or student ID is needed – just be 18 and under and let the driver know.

It’s easy! Just get on and go! 

The program was created by County Connection in conjunction with Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) and two Regional Transportation Planning Committees to take the place of the beloved 511 Contra Costa Summer Youth Program that was unable to continue the program dur to a reallocation of funding. Thank you 511 Contra Costa for running this highly successful program for years.

Tri Delta Transit staff may be out and about during June and July to take pictures and videos of our youth riding. Whether you are going to a job, the waterpark, a mall or to school, if you are a youth and ride, let us know – we may come put you, and your friends, on social media.
